I can`t find out if Scholl`s products are water based ? I know it cleans out of pads, unlike Menzerna, which is not water based.
I`m ordering the S40 to try and duplicate the gloss level of Rupes Diamond/white pad, without the difficult wipe off.
S20 was very close in gloss level, with some cut.
I`m not sure either. Menzerna is an oily mess, however. I don`t find Scholl polishes to be nearly as bad. I have S40, but haven`t had the need to use it. S30+ has always finished great for me, especially on soft black paint.
Rupes Diamond is a royal PAIN to clean out of pads. UHS polish is the same way. At least for me. Really bothers me.
S20 Black finishes good for a compound, but nowhere near as good as S30+, let alone S40.
I have very good results with S3 Gold XXL and a blue Spider pad with a Rupes 15 MkII. In most cases it finishes well enough to skip a 2nd step.

Menzerna polishing compounds are capable of removing 2500 grit sanding marks with minimal or no loss of surface gloss! Besides being exceedingly surface friendly, the polishes are water-based and silicone-free. They are ideal for use on new paint finishes in a body shop or manufacturing environment. Menzerna polishes are formulated for quick and clean defect removal with minimal finishing work. Often you can go from compounding to wax application without additional polishing!
Menzerma polishes are water based. I copied this from the AG site. I always thought they were oily too.
