The Skinny:
In this application, Natty`s Blue was a much better fit, than Souveran. Simply, Poorboy`s wax filled (to a stark degree), and did not leave faint streaks and splotches that Souveran did. Souveran had zero filling ability...which was what we were going after: filling with glaze and wax.
Perhaps Souveran is better on fully corrected paint, and/or clearcoat (this was single stage black).
The decklid/trunklid was done with Black Hole and Souveran.
In the sun, from a distance - I couldn`t tell a difference. Up close, remaining swirls and imperfections were apparent, as were slight streaks.
Souveran was applied and wiped off "wet" as per the instructions.
Could not capture these streaks and splotches on camera....they were difficult to see, but see them, you could.
On to the details:
Panels wiped down with D114.
Claybar not necessary.
Black Hole applied over entire car, in sections (with Rupes Mini and red waxing pads). About 4 section passes for each, until the Black Hole seemed to "vanish" into the finish, and produce an ever so slight haze.
Natty`s Blue applied by hand (without wiping off Black Hole haze), with Buff and Shine UFO red applicator. Natty`s given 20-30min dry time before buffing off.
Overall:
Pleased with the outcome. Black Hole filled quite well, but Natty`s Blue took things over the top (as in the Sylvester Stallone arm wrestling movie).
Paint looked clean, dark, and reflective. Not exactly the "inky" look that we were hoping for...but perhaps that will only come with proper correction.
Souveran with BH on top, Natty`s Blue with BH on bottom:
Decklid with Souveran and BH:
Roof with Natty`s Blue and BH:
Bonnet:
Some very slight swirling still visible:

Interesting. I only use Souveran on fully corrected paint. Any plans to correct this one in the future?
Treat it like it`s the only one in the world.
Perhaps a correction down the road. Up to the owner. I`ve advised to just glaze/wax it every couple of months to see how things fare. My guess is a correction will happen later this year, perhaps when it isn`t so hot.
In that scenario, I`d probably polish with Meg`s Ultimate Polish, and wax it with Souveran.
Owner is contemplating a new paint job - base coat/clear coat. However, it`s totally not necessary. Paint is is excellent condition, given the age.
Definitely encourage him to keep that paint. It`s only original once.

My feelings exactly. If I were shopping, I`d pay through the nose for healthy original paint but I`d expect a huge price break if it`d been repainted in b/c (if I considered it at all and I probably wouldn`t), even if it were a 5-figure/done properly repaint and most guys don`t bother with that.
steve couldnt find you at show......

Glad it worked out for you and I agree .. no repaint.. rather see swirls on thin original paint ... but next time add a few coats of EX and you won`t see any!
this was one of the biggest shows they have had ... it looked like every Vette in South Florida and from NY ( :lol ) were there ...
there were also a great collection of Mopars and 442`s too .. as well as Lambos, Rolls Royce, Lotus and bunches of Street Rods
it was 91 in the shade and I did the lot twice to make sure I didn`t miss the car ...
life is short ..do it while you can

Sorry you were looking for the car, and it wasn`t there! Rats!
Does EX fill, to some degree? Can`t imagine a more potent combo than Black Hole and Natty`s Blue.
Since we will be filling for the next 6 months, until it cools down to do a proper correction - how long should the BH and NB last, on a garage kept car, that only gets wipe downs?
Keeping this original paint, is now priority. The previous owner (who was/is original owner) was meticulous, and kept excellent care of every part. Up until last week, nobody has ridden in the back seat, and the original floormats were never used. The vehicle was delivered with a steering wheel cover. This gives us an idea of how well the paint, among all the other parts were taken care of.
Cheers!
