    Paint Coating Booster Suggestions

I recently applied DP/Mckee`s paint coating a few weeks ago and love the look on my silver Infiniti G35X. Going over some posts and quite a few of you suggest applying a booster roughly about once a month. So I`m looking for some suggestions. Right now I`m looking at GYEON Cure and Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Coating Booster.

I`ve also thought about the Polish Angel Spritz`s but the high cost is of course holding me back. Don`t know if I can justify the cost and would it really make that big of a difference on a silver car.

    Thanks in advance.

I love Cure. It is what I use, and recommend all my coated customers to get.

Another vote for Cure. Got it a couple months ago and it`s very easy to use and looks great. I gave my dad my other spray sealant type stuff after I got it.

If you want something at a lower price point you can look at Sonax Brilliant Shine Detailer. It`s actually a spray wax type product. It has tremendous water shedding abilities and lasts a good amount of time. Only drawback is that it`s not "slick" and so many people like that quality.

    Here`s BSD`s beading:

Then here is Ultima Acrylic Spray wax, just for comparison:

Both were applied over a coating.

cure would be a good choice

I have both that and PBL coating booster...

In My Experience with both products I honestly like PBL coating booster more but they are really close. I`d say cure probably wins for the price per ounce.

For the price of Cure, I`d be looking at GTECH C2V3 if I were you

    just my 2 cents

    Brandt, who makes "Cure"? Thanks.

I`ve got RELOAD and have had very good results with that one on CQUK. Always looking for that next purchase.

Angel Polish Spritz or High Gloss. I would use it as a drying aid. Especially if you are going to use it once a month. Using as a drying aid you will use less product without sacrificing the results. Will it make a difference on your silver car?? I literally just finished using it on my daughter`s Silver Veloster. All I can say is WOW. When a 21 year old girl says "WOW, what did you put on this?" That should tell you something. In all fairness the car hasn`t been coated yet, but I regularly use a combination of Menzerna Endless Shine and Uber Rinseless wash at QD dilution which leaves an incredible gloss...but nothing compared to High Gloss.

I`ve never needed a booster to get coatings to last 2 years. Actually on my own vehicle I tend to do them annually anyway. This recommendation is more for appearance, although IMO any sealant is going to help protect a coating therefore extending it`s life.

Another good old alternative to "boost the coating" would be Gtechniq C2v3 used 10:1 with distilled water as a drying aid. Gives the protection, easy to use, and very cost effective. Just make sure to wash any towels used immediately or they will never absorb water again.

Longer lasting, better water behavior/sheeting/beading, very self cleaning. Amazing stuff for sure, little goes a looooong way. My bottle lasted me all spring/ summer using about once a month, 3 cars.

This would make a great comparison test. There are so many good boosters available, and they are not cheap! A side by side test would be great. I would supply some TAC Systems Quartzmax to whoever wants to perform the test. I think the test should be limited to siO2 type boosters just to cut down on the number of entrants.

I just think it does what a coating maintenance product should do. It keeps water off the vehicle better than cure. Since us Americans like beading it does that better than cure, significantly better than reload!

I recently tried a CarPro Essence Plus...although applied with a machine and a soft Gloss pad it was easy.

i have cure, reload, c2v3, and radiance (si02 spray sealant)

I will probably end up buying a bottle of overcoat soon...if I can get quartzmax and overcoat from the same site I could do this test. I just hate paying shipping. lol
