    nanolex si3d

    Anyone use this?
Formulation is a bit unique compared to the typical si02 stuff

The Si3D molecules - precursors of ceramic and hybrid materials - consist of silica, nitrogen, hydrogen and organic compounds such as carbon.

It`s unique like Polish Angel using TI02

sorry, im mistaken. Cquartz Classic contains tio2

A new formula of "Classic" was introduced, but it`s been well over a year ago now. It was re-formulated with a higher concentration of Sio2 (Silicon dioxide) and enhanced with Tio2 (Titanium). It is slicker than the the old version, glossier, and more reflective. The biggest difference with application is that it flashes quicker than then the old version.

Those Nanolex products look very interesting. Similar lineup to CarPro without the Essence type product. Soon there will be as many coating products as waxes. Is the day of the "pro only" coating coming to an end?

I think manufacturers are teetering the thin line of profit margins from selling to a large audience vs. inherent quality control of pro only coatings

Claiming goes on thicker anywhere between 2 to 8 micron depending on how many layers..

In a way it sounds idiot proof, due to the need to spread till gone..but also sounds like more work/time?
Also it`ll turn grey if you waited too long inbetween layers..
    So I dunno.

I`m sure some manufacturer will come up with a "Walmart" grade coating in the future. Meguires had 365. It opens up a hornets nest of problems for the "Walmart" type customer. I can see people trying to apply a coating without any prep. As we know, most normal folks don`t even know the best way to wash a car. Putting a coating that might need to be sanded off would be a nightmare.

No. It`s different type of coatings. Nanolex is durable for alkaline shampoo, PA - no.
Some durability test for nanolex, cquk is here:
non-professional syntetic durability test of longterm coatings.
