Wheel Woolies Boars Hair Detail Brush vs. Famous Detailing Brush?

I`ve been thinking about picking up the new "Famous Detailing Brush" but was wondering if anyone used both the Wheel Woolies Boars Hair Detail Brush and Famous Detailing Brush and can speak to any significant or important differences is between the two? At a glace they basically look and sound like the same thing - except for the plastic vs wooden handles.

I`m planning on using the it as a dedicated interior brush. TIA!

Interior brush for scrubbing/agitating cleaner on seats and plastics? or for dusting? for dusting i use make up brushes, cheap, light and very soft bristles, in case you want to give that a try and save some $.

Took a few quick photos since the ones on the site don`t show the appropriate scale.

As this photo shows the Wheel Woolie`s brush is slightly longer, about 1/2 an inch overall.

The Bristles feel very similar, with the only difference being once again the length.
The Famous brush is 1.75 inches long, while the Wheel Woolies brush just about hits the 2.25" mark.

I`ve used the Famous brush for interior and it worked perfectly for getting into vents, cup holders, and other nooks & crannies. I`ve also used it on the exterior and had no issues and haven`t found myself needing the extra 1/2 inch anywhere (including lug nuts).

Awesome! Thank you Paul!! Have you used the Famous Brush for scrubbing/agitating cleaner on seats and plastics? And which one would you say is more comfortable to hold?

The brush with the red ferrule and wooden handle looks like the SwissVax Brush that was popular over 10 years ago...

It was expensive back then but it worked great and I still have a few of them and the one I used the most is a little more worn down than the newer ones that are my back ups..

Dont know anything regarding the Black Brush...

I`ve used the wheel woolie for exterior/wheels. it didn`t grip very well because of the plastic. especially when you get it wet.

I`ve picked up a famous brush but haven`t had a chance to use it yet. I feel like the wooden handle would give it a better grip

Alright, I pull the trigger and picked up the Famous Brush (plus some HD Glass)! I`ll make sure to share my thoughts with you guys on it.

Re: Wheel Woolies Boars Hair Detail Brush vs. Famous Detailing Brush?

I`d probably prefer the Famous for more aggressive work as the shorter bristles will probably be a bit more aggressive.

I`d probably prefer the Wheel Woolies for less aggressive work (e.g., nooks and crannies of painted surfaces of the body proper) as I`d expect it to be more gentle/less likely to mar.

But note all those "probably" qualifiers, and I`ve never used either (do use similar ones from Griot`s at every wash and for household stuff).

Haha! I did a 3 word review on the Adam`s version of the Wheel Woolies one but not the "Famous" generic Swissvax brush.

Speaking of, I realized the other day a few things I forgot to review... D`oh.

As a few of the other have mentioned, the shorter bristles on the Famous Brush make the bristles stiffer and helps it scrub/agitate on seats & plastics.
I wouldn`t say that either brush is uncomfortable, but the wooden handles does give more grip when it is wet compared to the Wheel Woolie Brush.
