Looks like DI already has their pre-order up and running for the iBrid. The DLX kit is $569.99 (short neck) and the L DLX kit is $598.99 (long neck).

I figured it`d be way more than I`d be willing to spend, as a hobbyist. If I was a pro, I`d be first in line though.
Tough call for hobbyists, but pros can make the $ back after one or two correction jobs. Seems like a very neat tool/system, I really want the new Flex long throw that`s coming out so the ibrid will have to wait for now.
Wow. DI scooped AG and Autopia on it!
Say what you will about the $500+ price point and what effect forum speculation had on it - but I`ll guarantee Rupes` accountants had all of that figured out a long time ago...

That`s been on DI for a while so I bought Gift Certificates from ACC when they had them on sale - knocked the price down a fair amount. But yeah, it`s pretty high up there. It was tempting to get something else as a dedicated small polisher but thinking about the kit and the ease of no cords was too hard to pass up.
yea I started a thread a few weeks ago about this.
patiently waiting with my GC`s for ACC`s presale ordering
I would consider myself a hobbyist as well, but I have so many uses for this tool even around my new house. I can use this more than I can use a new Mark II that is for sure and I held off on the mini because I have the megs DA adapter and it works ok for when I need it...this ibird will replace the need to use that tool anyways.

Can`t wait for it to arrive.
