Duragloss Rinseless Wash with Aquawax

My gallon of DG Rinseless with Aquawax arrived the other day. So I did a rinseless wash yesterday. Now bear in mind that I`ve been using ONR for a few years and was happy with it, but I`ve become a bit of a die hard DG fan so I felt I had to try their product. I got a little bit from my benefactor ( A fellow forum member jumping the DG ship [a foolish `boy` <hehe>] ) and I liked it so I ordered a gallon.
This stuff just seems so much slicker than ONR as my wet WW towel glided over the surface like it was on a cushion of air. The result was a really nice clean & shine.

For me, ONR is the beat pure cleaner, and if you want something that leaves nothing it is great to top with wax. If i want just a quick wash and dont want an additional step, i reach for UWW or WG uber. May have to try this stuff someday.

I use both the ONR and the DG regularly. I agree that the ONR may be a bit more aggressive cleaner, but the DG leaves a slicker finish, even more so than the ONRWW IMO, and the DG is more tolerant of temperature variations, with less streaking on my black DD. I also keep D114 around if I`m doing polishing afterwards, since it`s a more aggressive cleaner than either the ONR or DG, again IMO.

ONR is my go-to for rinseless. Just about ran out, so picked up some ONR Wax version, and recently, the Blackfire Rinseless. BF seems to leave something behind, and is also pretty slick. I dig it. I will get more regular ONR, though, as I like that it seems to keep it "pure" and also use it as clay lube.

Still need to try ONR Wax, and Wolf`s Mean Green. (Both sitting at home).

Thanks for the post, MiVor. I *do* like the DG car wash soap so maybe I`ll try their rinseless some day.

Ummmm....curious as to how you came to this conclusion....

So any type of cleaner that has a higher dilution rate means it`s stronger?

Kind of comparing apples to oranges aren`t you?

Well if the claim is that it cleans better at 1 oz per gallon but onr uses 1/2 oz per gallon then the test should be done with equal parts for both product to make an evaluation, dont ya think?

It says to use twice as much product on the label, and considering that, its twice as much money as onr. I realize there is a 1:256 dilution ratio people use it at, and at that number it doesnt clean any better for me.

I know but here is what I`m getting at...and I`m sorry I`m not trying to be a jerk.

Lets use this analogy....

Let`s say billy likes dunkin doughnuts dark roast coffee and he tells Johnny who like Starbucks dark roast coffee that dunkin is stronger because they use a couple more scoops....

How does billy know that...maybe the coffee bean Starbucks uses has more caffeine in it so they don`t need as many scoops to be as strong.

The chemicals used to clean in ONR may be more concentrated than D114 there for you don`t need as much to accomplish the same task.

I don`t know this for sure...do you?

Actually, that`s not always true.

I`ve used it at both dilutions and my assessment of aggressiveness is based on the cleaning ability for things like wheels, tires and jambs. Not to mention that either DG or ONR still feels slippery when used over a car that had been recently washed with a spray wax as a drying aid, but D114 leaves more of a "squeeky clean" feeling. Again IMO,IMO,IMO.

Yes I have used both and I love both and IMHO both clean exceptionally well at their recommended dilutions.

D114 at 1:15 can strip wax and in fact I`ve used it as an IPA alternative. It`s very powerful stuff.
