    Menzerna = Jescar ?

    Was trying to burn a gift card from work at Amazon and noticed a lot of Menzerna products renamed/relabeled as Jescar. Quick Google says that`s Menzerna`s parent company it seems? Unless it`s just the USA line, because Jescar is based in Nanuet,NY. as is MenzernaUSA

    Menzerna = Jescar ?

    Since their moto is from "Fret to Finish", it looks like guitar polish.

    Re: Menzerna = Jescar ?

    Swanic is correct -
    Looks like perhaps, Menzerna partnered with Jescar and made up some compounds and compound sticks for guitar fret polishing, etc...
    Bet those babies are going to really shine -

    And think of all the booze beading shots that someone will post up !

    I cant wait !!

    Actually, if you look at Amazon our products are starting to be labelled Jescar, so I think that takes just the guitar part off the table.

    Example:
    Amazon.com: Jescar Power Lock Plus Polymer Sealant (Pint): Automotive

    There was a fb post about this. Apparently Menzerna was no longer going to sell a product but us Yankees complained so they re labeled it Jescar to sell over here. I think it might have been power lock or something.

    Looks like a few.
    Amazon.com: Jescar Color Lock Carnuba Wax-Pint: Automotive
    Amazon.com: Jescar Paint Refresh Detail Spray - 22oz: Automotive

    Weird. I`m thinking since they pretty much share a mailing address that they`re the American Menzerna distributor.

    It just looks like Menzerna USA is no longer allowed to use the Menzerna name to create/sell products for sale here.. I wonder if Menzerna (HQ is considering products for worldwide sale so clearing the field.

    Re: Menzerna = Jescar ?

    I don`t post very often but noticed this discussion so I thought I`d explain what we have done with our product line and the introduction of Jescar Finishing Products.

    Jescar has been the representative and importer of Menzerna products since 1978 for the North American market. Jescar has been supplying buffing and polishing products and supplies to industrial finishing market such as furniture, musical instruments, metal finishing, and automotive beginning in 1999. Our concentration in the guitar market led to our development of Jescar fret wire which is now the international standard for all guitar manufacturers. Our work in the automotive market began with supplying the OEM assembly plants with newly developed polishes that proved to be great performers against the major existing supplier. We entered the detailing market by introducing some of Menzerna`s OEM polish formulations, and the products were very well accepted by the detailing community. We soon realized that having only a medium compound and a polish were too limited, so we worked with various international chemical companies to develop our own high performance products that were not available from Menzerna. The result was our Power Lock polymer sealant, followed by Paint Refresh detail spray and Color Lock carnauba wax, all sold under the MenzernaUSA brand as supplements to the core Menzerna polishing compounds. With the success of these MenzernaUSA products and requests to expand the line further, we made the decision to rebrand the MenzernaUSA products under our Jescar company name. The result is our new brand name, Jescar Finishing Products. This decision coincided with the new Menzerna labeling program which was necessary to create an international labeling standard that did not exist before.

    With the rebranding to Jescar we took the opportunity to improve the Power Lock with additional advanced polymers, and now the product is known as Power Lock Plus. Color Lock and Paint Refresh will remain the same formulations as before. We are nearing completion of our development of additional new detailing products that will be introduce in 2016. This will expand our Jescar Finishing Products offering to provide a complete system of Menzerna polishing compounds with innovative detailing products from Jescar.

    We are working on the redesign of the Jescar website which will have two major sections: Jescar products for the guitar/musical instrument market and Jescar Finishing Products for compounds and detailing products.

    I hope that this explanation provides some insight into our new direction and would be glad to answer any questions about our new product lineup.

    Re: Menzerna = Jescar ?

    Jeff, thanks for clarifying! Don`t be a stranger

    I for one would love to hear what the new product line will entail. Will the new items/USA specific be named Jescar and the legacy EU Menzerna products not change names?

    Re: Menzerna = Jescar ?

    Nothing will change with the Menzerna factory products produced in Germany. The Jescar Finishing Products line will include the former MenzernaUSA products such as PowerLock, ColorLock, Paint Refresh and buffing pads, plus new products specific to the detail/reconditioning market that are not available form Menzerna.

    Re: Menzerna = Jescar ?

    Although Jescar does supply polishing compounds to all of the guitar manufacturers, and also to some of the USA drum companies that finish in high gloss, brass instrument and pianos, this is only a part of our customer base. Menzerna compounds are supplied to furniture manufacturers doing high gloss finishes, industrial polishing companies, and many other markets where high performance polishing compounds are utilized.

    Due to our concentration in the musical instrument market we expanded our product offerings with specialized products that have become integral in guitar manufacturing, such as our Jescar line of fret wire.

    As much as we enjoy working in the musical instrument market, our primary product offering is in automotive, including the assembly plants, body shops, and of course the detail reconditioning area.

    Cars and Guitars....always been a great combination and a lot of fun!
