The Garage Chemist.. mixing two or more products for added benefits.

Recently I saw somewhere that someone was mixing M105 with M300 (MF Correction Compound), can`t remember if it was 50/50 or not. It took the great cutting ability of the M105 with the low dusting of the M300. With the benefits of certain products for certain things, this does not seem completely out of the question with proper precautions in place. Are there any mixtures anyone makes with 2 or more products for the synergistic benefits? I have thought about several but just have not tried them yet. I am interested to see any responses. Thanks in advance.

I have heard of people doing that on a pad but not in a bottle. From a my understanding, both M105 and D300 use the same abrasives in them.

Yes, I have added D300 to 105 to extend working time. I add a squeeze or two of D300 into the 105 bottle which increases working time. Cuts great and finishes down great.
    Working great for me.

Yes I do alot of that but all from our own polish line as the three water based abrasive polishes are made from the same base
I do not suffer from dusting at all and don`t do it because any of the products are lacking in any area, I do it to achieve as much as I can for doing a one step and to give me plenty of weapons in my arsenal to fix things

all mixed into bottles of 250ml size so I use them up sooner rather than later so I have a fresh batch every month or few

M105 and Megs UC make a good combo too. Similar benefits to adding D300. I take a half full UC bottle and add M105 to it. Stays mixed up fine.

I`ve used HD Cut and M101 together (on the same pad), worked very well and is probably my new go-to for significant correction on hard clear.
