Best for cleaning deep into white paint?

So I detailed my gf`s car today. 8 hours for a 2 step polish on a 2001 beetle. White, severely neglected. Black and gray stuff deep in the paint. Compounding and polishing brought some out, but I couldn`t get anywhere close to all of it.

Any my product or process suggestions for this type of thing? I used HD cut, then tried both WG TSR and HD polish. Thanks

Edit: I used a nanoskin, Sonax fallout cleaner, and tried to spot clean with OPC on some of it.

^ the Duragloss 501 is great cleaner.

Another option ion that I would try is Klass AIO. It is seriously good on a white pad for cleaning.

The previous Crown Vic was white, and when I got it back from the [individual]`s shop in Florida it was utterly trashed...gray instead of white with lots of black [stuff] where it wasn`t just gray. Worse even than the Tahoe was when I got it (and that was simply awful).

I washed it with FK1119, though I recommend ValuGard`s "A" instead, and that cleaned it up well enough for the requisite compounding to take care of the rest. I used a ValuGard "Bug Pad" to add some mechanical agitation to the process and it didn`t mar things up the way I was expecting.

Pro decontamination products like FK1119/"A" that clean through aggressive chemical action have worked very well for me.

Just came across the FK paint decon kit literally 5 minutes ago. Prob not worth it to me to buy for the gf`s car, but good to know about. I was just amazed all that crap in the paint was so stubborn that it didn`t polish out after 2-3 steps and repeated passes with a rotary.

jrock645- I`d only use the FK 1119/first step; I would *NOT* use their acidic product. Seriously. Period. Even the FK1119 is nasty, nasty stuff that`ll trash your media and make the shop smell awful and maybe even [mess] up your floor (got a good drain system?). But it does work and when you need it you need it.

If you ever do buy anything for future jobs, you might oughta look into the far less-nasty ValuGard version.

Were you using foam with the rotary or wool? I can imagine up/down sides to each.

I agree with ^^...use FK1119 every spring on the sides of a white car, makes it perfectly clean, light polish only if needed. Follow with LSP. Big timesaver. I`ve heard of people just using mineral spirits but have no personal experience

You use FK1000P, right? IF so, I`m surprised you need to use the FK1119 that often. I`d think twice about such frequent use of that stuff anyhow...if I needed to do that sort of decontamination so frequently I`d use ValuGard`s "A" instead. Much nicer product for you, the vehicle, and the environment.
