What are the opinions-verdict on Garry Dean’s Infinite Use Detail Juice used as a quick detailer compared to other favorite QDs? Has anyone out there compared it to Groit’s Speed Shine?

    Thanks in advance,

Haven`t really used my IUDJ enough to say :nixweiss

But then I don`t really use QDs as QDs very often, usually only use them as drying aids and I`ve only used the IUDJ for this in doorjambs.

The few times I have QDed something off a vehicle, the IUDJ cleaned a lot better than SpeedShine. Gee, no surprise there as IUDJ is more of a "rinseless wash"-type product and SpeedShine doesn`t clean all that great anyhow (e.g., FK146 cleans a lot better for me).

As to which one leaves more/better stuff behind, I just don`t know. But SpeedShine sure does compliment the waxes I use, and I`d be very surprised if the IUDJ looks quite the same. Come to think of it, my IUDJ-treated doorjambs were *NOT* as "freshly LSPed" feeling as when I`ve used some other QDs though, so I suspect I`m gonna prefer regular my QDs (or maybe Ultima`s WWP) in that regard.

I do want to thank Accumulator for his reply. But, come on guys, I know Garry is selling a ton of this stuff and Accumulator is the only one that has used it as QD?

    Thanks in advance,

What specific information/advice are you looking for?

Speaking personally, I`ve never used Griot`s Speed Shine, and frankly I don`t use "QD" much if at all these days, at least on paint; I use IUDJ as a rinseless/waterless wash and to wipe down interior hard surfaces (vinyl/leather), and it works extremely well.

I`ve used speed shine, its a pretty good product.

Haven`t used IUDJ, but I have used diluted ONR wash and wax as a QD and it works quite well.

If I had to pick between the two, I`d go with ONR.

Just my preference, I think ONR cleans well, has good lubricity, and its cheaper too.

I also don`t use QD`s that much, sometimes as a drying aid, but most of the time to clean up any water that has come out of crevices after a wash.

What are you using it for?

No idea how it compares to GSS.

In my experience, I`ve tried IUDJ as both QD and waterlesswash solution. I tend to use IUDJ QD strength more often than not lately and use it over ONR QD strength. IUDJ QD just seems to leave a `nicer` glow on my subaru paint in my unexperienced eyes. I`m a weekend warrior so I can`t speak of the breadth of applicability of IUDJ on other car finishes.

I did notice once (It hasn`t happened since) that applying IUDJ QD strength after an ONR wash seemed to create some streaking and less `gliding` as i was applying IUDJ QD... not sure why... Could have been just a fluke or environmental factors...

Overall I am quite satisfied with Gary`s IUDJ as compared to ONR (my only other similar pdct. I just got some Ultima WW+ so I`ll be comparing that soon).

I don`t know that I found one to be super duper better than the other, but I do tend to use IUDJ as QD more often than I do with ONR QD.

    My .02 cents.

I use to use Optimum Instant Detailer Concentrate. But with the year round high humidity Louisiana weather, I had to dilute it 5 to 1 keep it from streaking. At that dilution rate there was not much slickness left in the product. I now use Chemical Guys V7 when drying my car off. It gives a lot of pop to the paint (2013 Ford Focus in Ruby Red Metallic) It is also $40 a gallon. I have found that it does not work very well for bird bombs. It needs to be buffed to get it to flash off. If you are trying to do a spot cleaning, you end up buffing in to the area where there is no V7 and there may be dust and dirt, to get it to flash off. I am now using Meguiars D155 Last Touch Spray Detailer and Meguiars High Gloss Premium Gold Class Quick Detailer for bird bombs. The D155 is available in gallons the Gold Class is not (I wash it was). Many years ago I used Crystal Pearl when it was being manufactured for Classic Motors, it was great and it was $30 a gallon. Now Autogeek has it as Pinnacle Crystal Mist Detail Spray and they want $80 a gallon (I guess the gold dust accountants for the high price). What I am looking for is a good OD that I can use for drying ( flashes off easily), bird bombs and door jams at around $30 a gallon not including shipping. I am leaning toward IUDJ or Finish Kare 425, neither which I have not tried.

    Recommendations?

    Thanks in advance,

I`ve found Griots Speed Shine to sort of be a poor man`s Crystal Mist at about $40 per gallon but I don`t use it for bird bombs or similar situations, just straight QDing so I dont know if it is a recommendation you are looking for.

I think IUDJ (or ONR will work better).

FK 425 leaves a really slick finish, but requires a little bit of buffing ime. I find it can also get streaky if you use too much.

Maybe off topic, but I dislike using QD for bird bomb removal, I find spray / wipe never works. I guess I`m lazy, I`ll wait until I get home and hose it off. If I had to take care of it, I would do something along these lines:

Tips and Tricks: How to safely remove a dried bird bomb or bird dropping - Auto Geek Online Auto Detailing Forum

http://www.autopia.org/forum/car-det...-now-what.html (I would use try rubbing alcohol / water mixture described there)

I`ve found the FK425 to be Accumulator-proof when used as a drying aid, BUT it doesn`t always play nice with waxes (e.g., Collinite) and when that goes bad it`s a *REAL* problem, so much so that I don`t use it on vehicles that have wax for their LSP.

kajumnan-I do *very* well using IUDJ to remove bird-bombs, on the somewhat rare occasions that I bother cleaning them off. Just took a really nasty one off the older Crown Vic yesterday; between the car`s coat of FK1000P and the IUDJ the mess came off easily with zero issues. Between that and the way it works so well on jambs/etc. (where there might be a little residual dirt), it might be worth a try.

Never used either as a true QD, only as a Rinseless wash. But overall IUDJ is a better product and i get more washes out of it than ONR IMO
