There has been some concern with previous versions of ONR degrading LSP`s. Does anyone know if v3 more LSP friendly?

I have not found it to be anymore unfriendly than most normal car wash soaps. A lot of it depends on what type of LSP is on the paint to begin with, and how long its been there.

Never had an issue with any version of ONR and any wax or sealant I`ve used. ONR v3 will keep the paint slick indefinitely it appears.

ONR v3 is awesome, I`ve had many customers come out of their house just as I`ve finished washing their car and they say "holy crap, you`re done already, it looks great!". And I`m like, nope just washed it, haven`t even gotten the polisher out yet. I`ve never had any problems with any LSP either with it.

I was the guy who first reported how ONR v2.0 could kill certain Collinites, even when they were nice and fresh...so I`m glad to hear it doesn`t seem to be that way with the v3.0.

But I`m still kinda leaning towards Gary Dean`s IUDJ stuff instead.

Yes, I wasnt sure if it still affected 845. I heard great things about the IUDJ, but at $160 per gallon, it`s way more expensive than ONR.

I also had issues with ONRv2 and 845, and I believe Umi did as well. FWIW, Garry`s IUDJ is better in every respect to ONR for me.

The IUDJ also has many uses that ONR does not. I`ll be giving it a try at some point.

Yeah...I don`t want to jack this thread onto the IUDJ/ONR comparison, but some of the posts on other threads (posts by people whose opinions I consider reliable) make a great case for the IUDJ. Even the cost comparison can be pretty compelling, depending on how you calc/consider it.

I also found ONR to kill my 845. I`ve used other rinseless washes without issues. IUDJ seems interesting, but $$

Meguiars NXT Car Wash killed 845 for me. Was using it on a couple cars for that customer I had who insisted I use his reverse osmosis/DI system to wash his cars.

Why does stuff kill 845? I`ve always thought of it as a very tough wax and recommend it to alot of people. I`m rethinking that now if things can kill it that easily. Sorry for the hijack, but I have got to know, I don`t want customers coming back and complaining that the wax I told them would last a long time was gone after a wash with NXT or something else.

Yep, I had issues with ONR v2 and 845 as well. I haven`t used IUDJ, but I didn`t have those problems with either DP Rinseless or UWW+ (used as a rinseless wash).

Honestly, I don`t get the love for 845. Looks really bright and clear so to me its more suited to metallics but my main issue is it isn`t as durable (no matter what I or even a couple customers used to wash) as I was expecting. I like 476 a lot more. Has a richer, deeper look and holds up a lot better. IMO, Collinite 476 doesn`t get nearly the love it deserves around here.
