There are a few post on garage lighting layouts ( that bad word again `search`) -

Here are two hand held paint surface inspection lights-

    4. Fenix Gear TK11 R2 - a powerful, solid, durable, and waterproof design, which can use either two CR123A batteries (primary or li-ion) or one rechargeable 18650 battery with a protective circuit, and it maintains excellent constant brightness with two output modes. This TK11 features Cree`s new R2 LED, which boasts better efficiency for higher output per mode. Digitally regulated output - maintains constant brightness (100 USD)

    5. The Fenix TK45 flashlight features three lighting heads with an output of 760 lumens, utilizing three Cree CP-5 R5LED, which are. Energy efficient lamps (100 USD)
What gets overlooked too often is that one must be a student before becoming a teacher.

You can also build a LED 3600 lumen set up.

One day I`ll get to do my own car.

Have you by any chance measured how warm those get? I`m just curious how they compare to the Halogens, they`ve got to be a huge improvement.

The radiant heat after 22hr directly infront can barely be felt at 6in. Directly above 2 1/2 in. You can actually still grab the bulb housing after this timeframe. For a few seconds so I`m queasily around 100 degrees. I can definitely say there is no radiant heat felt with them 3-4ft behind you. Compared to a 500w halogen these are cold running all 4.

They run at a constant 78-80watts total. After playing around this is why I picked this exact set up. Plus multiple Led panels create a flat wash not revealing defects as well on light colors. This is just like my Brinkman but 4times better.

Brinkman at bottom right (1bulb on new batteries) @2ft Stand is at 4 1/2ft. Camera doesn`t show as well the big light difference.(1gen I phone)

Sorry not trying to highjack thread. Will post build and specs in a new thread soon.
