Prior to applying EXO, gtechniq is requiring a panel wipe with a silicone degreaser.

Did some google searches and came up with PPG (SXA330), Spies Hecker (#7010 slow evap) and Dupont First Klean (3900S).

Anyone else use a degreaser recently or can someone recommend a good one?

IPA, Eraser will not work per gtechniq.

Much as I like the New Car Prep, due to it`s non-flammable and non-combustible attributes, not easy to get and yes, I worked for the manufacturer of it, formulated it.

However, plain old mineral spirits, used correctly, keeping the surface "damp" with it for more than a couple of minutes, will remove the silicone deposits, just follow up with a car wash shampoo.

Use a few towels when you use the mineral spirits, wipe the M/S off, and do the car wash shampoo, easy to check, just look for any "fish-eyes" when one applies anything else to the surface.

Wash "good", etc, with the car wash soap/shampoo and rinse well, you can watch the surface and see that there is no beading, etc.

At least it has worked for me for 4 decades.

I`d probably email gtechniq and ask for a brand suggestion.

chris: was going to do that but wanted some product suggestions first from here, US not UK.

Someone locally recommended Hi-Temp Prep Wash (806QT), a water-based silicone degreaser thats not loaded with so many potent chemicals. Anyone ever use it?

Did a search and my questions were answered back on 01/12 in another post.
