Kwazar Spray Bottle

I know its not worth the $15...BUT...

is the sprayer and the construction and chemical resistance of the bottle make it so much better than others?

Thinking of buying 1 to see for myself.

I`ve had my eye on this brand as well but couldn`t pull the trigger due to price. I`m using SOLO as an alternate. They are very good.

FWIW, you can buy (for a fraction of the price) these pump-up spray bottles at Ace Hdwe, Home Depot, etc...

The Kwazars are pretty nice... they grow on you you after a while.

Just well built and the trigger doesn`t loosten on the bottle.

It`s weird getting used to at first: they spray on the trigger pull and trigger release, so you are putting a lot of product down. I like `em.

I have been going back and forth on these bottles for awhile. I am investigating waterless/rinseless washing approaches and these would be great for pre-soaking but I just can`t get myself to spend $15 for a bottle - I can see the justification for a high-volume, high-output detailer but as I am only really detailing my own cars, I classify this as a "want" as opposed to a "need" for myself.

Anyone try these things with corrosive chemicals such as acids and wheel-cleaners? I would be too afraid to try these chemicals in such an expensive bottle.

not necessarily with just these, but with anything these days. i`ve been consolidating/watching what i buy...

I have a couple, but only of the smallest size. I got them either as a promo/combo thing, with some purchase of who knows what product in a large gallon jug or something. I`m pretty sure both are from DD.

I haven`t tried any sort of "serious" chemicals in them. I may appear to be the Master of the Obvious, but the dual action is nice for the chemicals with which you spray more copious amounts. For me, this is typically ONR (particularly as a clay lube if not also for other purposes), and medium strength APC.

But it`s a double edged sword for me, since these bottles are of the smallest size, and that I use them with the products that get the most trigger pulls so to speak: I`m always refilling the damn things. However, I rather refill every once in a while, than to have to double the number of trigger pulls. I think of when I use APC at a rapid fire rate, and how I would sometimes switch between left and right hands when using any other bottle.

Nutshell: If "want" becomes "need" one day for you, I would only advise trying a larger size, of which I`ve never tried. IOW, I think I would rather have one big one than two small ones, but I also say that without remembering their respective prices.

I think I have 8 of these spray bottles, big and small. Got them all from Phil at DD. I love them, it`s a no brainer to have these for wheel cleaners and clay lube. A must-try product in my book.

The 1 ? I have is the spray.

You can spray copious amounts from the kwazar, but can you spray a fine/very fine mist by an adjustment on the sprayer.

I need both for my work.

The bottles are $9.00 each, shipping total (via USPS Priority) was $6.45. They offered perhaps 10 different shipping options. I had the stuff in 2 days! Website is qcsupply.com

Try entering the search term "sprayer" at their website. They`ve got quite the selection of Gilmour and others !!

I`m going to order a couple of the orange (non-viton seal) sprayers as well.

The use of Vitron o`rings seals is a big key to a long lasting spray head.

The other thing, which is difficult to find out, is a "stainless steel" spring in the actuator of the sprayer head.

The Vitron will resist almost any solvent, surfactants or mild acids, so pressure can be "pumped", however, if the "spring" is aluminum or mild steel, (usually aluminum), while the Vitron will do it`s job, the solvents or even high caustic water based surfactants will erode and cause the spring to just lose it`s spring value.

I.E, the pump won`t pump, then you have one more thing to do, throw it away.

Looks like these folks got it right, or else many would not be stating such good reviews.
