    For those that had changed your power cord for the makita, did you guys take off that part closest to the handle? The stiff rubber part that the end of the wires stick through before entering the machine?



    If you kept it, how did you guys pull it through?

    If I remember correctly after taking the machine apart and removing the wires from the contacts, hold onto the hard rubber part and give the cord a yank.
