Griots Garage

Just stopped by Advance Auto and they had a Griot`s Garage display up. They had some microfiber, clay, wheel cleaner, tire dressing, wax, sealant, and some other stuff.

The clay is very soft. Has anyone used it?

D&D AutoDetail- Yeah, I used it a lot before switching to the Smart and Sonus clay. It`s good, seemed the same as Mother`s but others have said there`s a diff between them (and I suspect either/both might have changed since I did that comparison).

I wasn`t so keen on using SpeedShine as clay lube though, all the wax/whatever in it seemed to interfere with the claying a little bit.

At least local purchase oughta avoid the steep shipping charges, Griot`s is pretty bad on that front.

Autogeek sells some Griot`s products (no tools, towels) and they qualify for the usual discounts and free shipping promotions.

We handle Griot`s Garage in Canada.

It is a very good line, lots of detailing liquids and hard goods.

They are a really great company to deal with as well.

The Advanced Auto Parts shows that it is stock on their website in Boca Raton, Florida but when I called them they said they never even heard of "Griot`s".

From what I understand Griot`s has just recently signed up with AA, and they are launching this week.

Glad to hear that. I dunno how involved Richard is with the day-to-day any more, but back when he was answering the phone himself he stuck me as a really nice guy...just like, well...so many of the people here.
