I am going to use ONR as lube so I just need to buy some more clay. I was looking around Amazon and came across a few options including 200g of Meguiar`s professional fine or aggressive for ~$20, 226g of Griot`s for $20, and 2 different Easy Clay 200g (2x 100g) kits for $13-14.

Anyone have experience with this Easy Clay? Do the colors matter? I assume the blue is fine/gentle and the red is more aggressive, but the description is exactly the same for both of them.

Amazon.com: Easy Clay 2-pack 2x100g - Blue color clay bar: Automotive

No opinions at all? I`ll just buy the blue one then.

My opinion is that it`s a cheap Clay Magic immitation and for a couple extra $$ you can have the real deal. I`d tried a bunch of blue fine grade clay, but they all suck compared to Clay Magic. Clay is one of those things that it doesn`t pay to use something cheap that could botch up your paint.

thanks for the opinion. where do you get your Clay Magic from where it`s almost this cheap? detailedimage has it for $25 + shipping, which would end up making it over twice as expensive.

for the price I`d rather buy the Meguiar`s for $21 shipped, or the Mother`s kit with 2 clay bars, a MF towel and QD for $18

No way! This is just for my personal cars and any friends/family that I will be cleaning up. A couple of bars should last me a year or so.

Spend a little more and get something that is proven to work as expected. It`s not worth taking a risk as I`ve used several cheapies that absolutely suck. Remember, this product gets extensively rubbed all over your paint.

thanks. do you think the Mother`s kit is ok, or the Meguiar`s professional? I`ve used Megs OTC and Mothers OTC before and didn`t have issues with it.

Not a fan of either, especially the blue Meg`s mild which I`ve had issues with in the past. That`s why I just recommend Clay Magic as it`s the purest of the clays and Auto Magic holds the rights to all clay sold here anyways. I`ve been through 1000`s of bars and never had a problem it.

I`m with David on this, you can get a Clay Magic kit from Autozone for 11 bucks. Clay Magic rules, I have Black Fire clay and it`s ok, I got it free in a contest, but if I had to buy clay - Clay Magic all the way! Mothers is ok, Megs doesn`t hold a candle to either.
