    Hi all,

I am about to buy my first detailing products for my new black mica Mazda3.

I am keen on the Optimum products:

For washing, planning to go either: Optimum Car Wash OR Optimum No Rinse.

For after wash waxing, planning to go either: Optimum Car Wax OR Duragloss Aquawax.

However I`m not sure whether the Optimum car wash is better or the ONR is better ignoring the rinseless or less water issues.

Doesn`t seem to have much discussion on the Optimum car wash product. Judging from everyone`s post, seems like the ONR not only washes but also creates shine, wondering if the Optimum car wash also do the same?

Would anyone know if the Optimum car wash has same contents as the ONR, meaning produces same finish. Also does the OCW spray or Duragloss AW protect my new paint as spray on waxes? Or do I have to buy something else for protecting new car paint? Would really appreciate any useful feedback. This would help me decide.

Please feel free to post your advices for protecting brand new black coloured cars(clear coat).

I am hoping to buy as little product as possible to maintain my paint properly so this will probably explain why I am only planning on one product for wash and one product for wax(hopefully my choices of wax protects paint).

    Thanks heaps!

I bump the thread with a welcome!

Optimum Wash is a fine shampoo. It act like any shampoos with surfactants. Produces a rich mix and a nice surface.

ONR is completely different. Rinseless washing is a joy, so you should try it. ONR is a polymer rich liquid which encapsulates and traps particles, and according to the actual grit size it sinks them to the bottom of the bucket or binds them into the wash media. It adds its own protection and gloss.

OCW is perfect for new paint even for repaints.
