Is there difference between lambswool and sheepskin mitts?

    Mothers makes a lambswool:

    Autogeek sells a sheepskin:

    Sheepskin Wash Mitt

Is it just terminology or is there a difference...sheepskin to me is wool or am I crazy?

I`m trying to narrow down the cause of swirls on my new black TSX.

Can I use a microfiber mitt (Meg`s, Vroom mf chenile, etc). Are they as soft as lambs/sheep skin/wool mitts?

Yeah, both are just at type of very soft (at least when wet) wool. AFAIK, the mitts are just animal skins with the fleece still on them.

Lambs are just young sheep. Maybe their fleece is (supposedly) softer :nixweiss

I find I have to go case-by-case with such stuff anyhow, never know when you`ll get a bad one.

Some have straighter fleece than others. The straight fleece seems to rinse clean the easiest, but the Griot`s mitt I have is much more "curly", almost like it`s woven, and it`s probably the softest sheepskin I`ve ever used.

The better MF mitts are at least as soft as any of my natural mitts, but they have their own pros/cons, including the way MF tends to tenaciously hold onto certain types of contamination.

I use a few different sheepskin mitts, and a few different MF mitts, and I`ve even used cotton chenille ones. No problems as long as I took the various, characteristics into consideration. But beware the synthetic sheepskin mitts, which can be real scratch-machines.
