Anyone have any suggestions for a lightweight handheld vacuum?

Several years ago I purchased a Metro Vac `n Blow and it was great while I lived in an apartment with a parking garage with outlets where I could camp out all day and detail. Unfortunately I have moved to a place where using the Metro vac is less practical. So...I`m looking for something a little more quick and portable so I can just hijack an outlet at the gas station for a few minutes.

I see Metro makes a truly handheld vac called the Vac `n Go. How is that, and are there comparable options?

    Thanks!

I`ve got a Shark Cordless 15.6 volt vacuum I use on my own car and a few regular customers vehicles. Has a rotating brush attachment and a crevice tool attachment. Pretty good suction for about 10-15 minutes. Probably not the best choice for a really dirty interior or pet hair issues, but for a typical week`s worth of dirt, it works very well.

I think I paid around $50-55 for it at Target.

I`m all about my Shop-Vac and the variety of attachments that come with it. I haven`t found something I couldn`t suck out of my car yet! Cheaper than that cordless one that Scott got from Target to boot.

I realize you said cordless, but why do you specifically need a cordless one?

SO I just re-read your original thread, and noticed your lack of power outlets. I suggest you invest in an extension cord

I`d honestly find a regular vac you can fit in your trunk, and invest in an inverter.

Doesn`t have to be cordless, I just want one more portable that I can store in my car. The MetroVac is just kinda heavy and cumbersome for quick weekly vacuums on the road.

The power inverter is a great idea, I don`t know why I didn`t think of that. I`d still prefer to downsize to a smaller plug-in vacuum though. Any other suggestions?
