I was thinking I would just rinse it down with some Simple Green and then used Greased Lightning to get rid of the bad stains? Would this work? I only have household products handy.

    Whats "handy" doesn`t always work...

Go get some "Spot Shot" from your local walmart/lordco/anywhere and use that... best thing I`ve found for stains!

    Look for the Orange Lid.

That`s true... I don`t think the Simple Green would be powerful enough to really do anything. But what about the Greased Lightning? Is that safe on upholstery?

I used to be a die hard Folex fan... still am. I have started using Chemical Guy`s Lightning Fast Stain Extractor. It is diluted, like 10 or 20:1. Works wonders and is very economical.

I had stains on the seats of a used truck that I bought and I had no idea what they were and after trying several different cleaners spray on, foams, scrub brushes, etc.

I finally bought a bottle of resolve spot cleaner and sprayed this on the seats and then scrubbed vigorously with a micro fiber towel and they finally came out.
