I just did a full polish on my car with a PC using 3M, Griots, and some P21S cleaner. On to the wax. I`ve decided to use NXT, but have a question. I`d like to layer it, but want to know how well it layers.

If it will layer well, do I let it dry and then apply a new layer without buffing off the first layer? Or buff the first layer and then re-apply?

I worked my way around, buffing each panel, then apply wax and move on to let it dry.

Also, can I use the PC with a soft pad to do the buffing, or should I stick with MF towels?

    Here she is:

    before polishingthis side

    after polish, no wax

I don`t see much of a difference... Maybe after the wax I`ll be :woohoo:

Oh. I hate removing polish "leftovers." What`s the easiest way to do this?

you would remove the haze and typicly wait 12hrs and apply another layer

some folk beleive in layers and some dont , although you wont hurt nothing putting on 2 layers to ensure even coverage

....perhaps two coats to ensure even coverage but after that, ...meh. What I can tell you is that folks at Meguiars are not fans of layering in general and people like Mike Phillips have specifically said they don`t recommend it for NXT. ....take it for what it`s worth.

Apply a thin coat of NXT. Wait until it dries (10-45 minutes, depending on ambient conditions), then wipe off. Meguiar`s recommends a second coat to ensure even coverage, with an optimal waiting time of twelve hours between coats; but many NXT users apply a second coat after only an hour or so, sometimes less. Sometimes one just cannot wait twelve hours.

See Mike Phillips`s comments in this thread:

How much time to wait before applying a second coat of wax?
