I don`t think it would hurt to try the Folex. Did you try the APC at full strength?

The 303 convertible cleaner is cheap and seriously the best.

Neither one (Folex or APC) put a dent into the grease or grime or whatever was on the top, so I just gave up on it. I`ll have to order the 303 for next time

I cleaned a nasty tan Mazda Miata vinyl convertible top last year using Dawn Power Dissolver. It got it cleaner than Megs APC, 303 cleaner concentrate, 303 convertible top cleaner and PurplePower APC. I used my brush attachment on a PC to work it in. I had about 1 foot of foam on top. It only left dirt in the deepest part of the texture in the vinyl. It was a co-workers car and I have been checking it regularly to make sure the Dawn PD didn`t damage the vinyl and it still looks good. I topped it with Ultima Tire&Trim Guard which beaded for a long time despite the fact that this person is always taking the top down so there`s been a lot of flexing of the vinyl.
