For those of you who already use Aquapel, they now sell a glass cleaner.

I have not used it, and was wondering if anyone else has had any experience with it.

BTW still happy with the performance of Aquapel. As are those who own vehicles that I have applied it too.

    Not a single bad experience.

Wear in my experience is noticeable and quite beneficial for about six months and really great the first three to four.
    Good driving and good listening!!

Aquapel was installed on my truck when new at the dealer. I refused to pay for it, I told them they could remove it if they wanted to.

I have had the truck for 18 months and 17k miles. We have not had a lot of rain here, but I still see the effect of the product when it rains. I think over the last month or two its starting to loose it effectiveness.

How much are you guys charging for a treatment?

Do it yourself. Most places overcharge. Clean the glass 3x, let it dry, crack the applicator (move your butt time), apply it to the glass, remove the excess. Done.

    Tom, pepboys has it.

1 applicator was enough to do my 4 side windows and my windshield on my civic. Make sure you DO NOT let it dry. I made the mistake of applying to my windows, then buffing off. Do 1 window at a time or else its a b**** to get off.

I dont like that i have to get up to 55 MPH for the water to fly off. Rain-X makes water fly off at about 40-45 mph.

Maybe I applied it wrong but my aquapel experience was terrible, I did both my cars at the time...didn`t seem to last much longer then my rain-x, couldn`t justify buying it again. Between the rain-x wipes and the spray on formula Id rather just touch it up quickly whenever I need to.

Costco sells four packs, IIRC it works out to 4$ each.

I charge my clients 10$ right now, might up that to 15$ soon. Check what the local car washes are charging for the same service. They will be cheap but usually its just for the front window.

Target might carry it. It is packaged with Billy Mays branding unfortunately which I think would deter some people thinking it`s just a gimmicky product. I `ve seen at the Target in my area of Northern CA.

ive gotten into the aquapel thing myself. so far i think i`ve put it on about 6-8 vehicles and al but the first person love it.

the first guy to buy a treatment was a friend who bought it for cost in order to be a test dummy. he already had rain-x on his windshield and i think i didn`t clean it good enough for the aquapel to bond well, and i think i took it off too soon because of hearing all the "don`t leave it on too long!" stories.

since that i`ve changed how i apply it. clean the windshield, then wipe it down after spraying it with 99% isa. crack the applicator, apply it back and forth, then go back over it up and down, then use the left over bit on the driver and passenger windows. i then let it sit until it`s completely dry to remove. i`ve found an old cotton undershirt works well to buff it off, and despite it being a little tougher to take off and not have any haze left over, i think it bonds much better overall.

as i stated, i find that it doesn`t work well unless you have a totally clean surface with no traces of another product, and just as with freshly waxed paint, water will fly off initially, and later is reduced to just good beading. durability is very nice, but i still value rain-x due to it`s price as long as you don`t mind reapplying monthly.
