I see PO85RD mentioned a lot more in general than the Final Polish PO87MC. I`m just wondering what you folks think is the fundamental difference between the two, and why the PO85RD seems to be favored or talked about much more.

I have both. Gnerally speaking the 87mc has a tiny bit less cut, it was designed for older paints and IMO works beautifully, I think it works smoother than 85rd because its finer but maybe thats just me.

The 85rd was designed for newer, harder paint finishes, specifically ceramic paints so it offers a bit more needed cut to help remove defects from harder clear coats.

Both polishes leave a great gloss and clarity in the finish, IMO you do not need both. If you have to have 1 than I would choose 85rd because it has the ability to clean up holograms and fine swirls a little better than the 87mc.

    I love PO85RD.
I hear voices in my mind and you’re worried that you’re the freak.

IMO if you encounter Nighthawk Black Hondas, Jet Black BMW E90/92s, you need 87MC as well. 85RD car mar those finishes. Yes, they are that soft.
