Okay. I`m all out of ID and need to order some. Alot of rant and raves about the anti static properties of FK425. Let me hear some comparisons on Optimum Instant Detailer...

Have both and favor FK425, but my favorite QD is Surf City Hot Rod Detailer

The 425 has very good slickness but I haven`t had luck with that "anit static" thing. Everything I applied it to would still have dust on it like a regular qd. I bought it cause of the raves on here but no luck with me.

The QD I like a lot and use often is Deep Detail from Deep Finish, great product. Leaves finish slick and adds depth. Very nice.

"Dave1" sent me a sample of FK425 (thanks Dave). I plan to test it against my favorite QD, Clearkote`s Quick Shine.

I would not buy a QD just because it says it is anti-static. I buy it based on other properties. I like OID because of the way it looks on a waxed finish. FK425 & Clearcoat QS are also excellant QD`s.

I agree about Deep Detail its awesome , I have found nothing better.

OID and FK425 are real good but DD is on another level.

OID is a fantastically slick effective Qd and can the benefit of being able to add OCW to give some xtra protection.

I`ve asked on the Optimum Forum about its Anti static qualities but haven`t had an answer as yet.

The concentrate is the one to go for, its a bit of a bargain.

Kind of hard to beat the value of OID or the deep carnauba look of Quikshine, my two favorite QD`s.

    OID & GE FTW...........

Super slick, and the looks are amazing. As for the anti static stuff, thats not why i purchase QD`s so its not really a selling point for me. I dont care what it is, when its October in So Cal, there`s no such thing as anti static......

OID, 425 & QS are my top 3 go to QD`s lately. Anti static?? Dust, pollen, sand.....They all seem to gravitate to my black paint regardless of what product I use. Where 425`s anti static properties really shine is on my tv`s. REALLY makes a difference cutting down on the screen dust factor. Now if someone could invent an anti gravity QD, interms of repelling dust, pollen and the like from the surfaces of our rides.............. Cost wise, quality QD`s are cheap enough, so I suggest buying 1 of each & trying them out. Pollen season is coming up so it`s a good time of year for some hands on testing.

Haven`t tried OID yet but have used FK425 and QS, both of which I find are very good. I bought FK425 by the gallon and have been using it the most but I may throw in the odd wipe of QS here and there this summer.

This forum has more acronyms then a chemistry book wow.. I realize it`s a little time saving but I think this forum goes a little overboard with them at times..
