Without taking price into consideration, which do you like better, Z-6 or OID, and why?

Does OID work as well as Z-6 on Zaino products, like Z-2 and Z-5?

If it has silicone fluids in it like Optimum Poli Seal then it isn`t the best choice to go with Zaino.

Z6 hands down. I think it looks better, cleans better and even though this really doesnt matter smells better. I find I get streaking with OID but it is slicker than Z6. I only use Z6 when I have Z on a car.

I been on a nuba kick of late. Refound my love for #16.

I would go with OID. Much slicker and give a very nice glossy surface, cheaper as well.

I never got any streaking from OID.

What is Z-6 supposed to smell like? I got mine at the same time I bought Z-8, and I think Z-6 smells like ... well, "industrial glue" is the first thing that comes to mind. It smells very chemical-ish to me, although Z-8 smells quite fruity.

My bottle of Z6 has a wonderful grape-type smell. It`s not chemical-ish at all.

If your primarily using Z2/Z5/CS I would use Z6. Otherwise use the OID.

Ive never had streaking problems with Z6, however, I only use it in conjunction with Zaino products.

OID is a great QD. OID has streaked occasionally with OPT products and others. I dilute it a bit more than what is recommended and it still streaks here and there.

They both have their place IMO.

Do you recommend this strictly because Z-6 is in the Zaino line, or have you seen better results with it over Z2/Z5 compared to OID?

I plan on using Z-6 between coats of Zaino, but if OID is just as good a weekly QD as Z-6 over Zaino sealants, then I`ll go with it.

I know you didn`t ask about this one but if you are trying to find a great QD I suggest you try out Deep Detail from Deep Finish. It is by far one of the best I have used. I had Z8 and Z6, they are nice but after I tried DD I`m done looking for QD`s. It leaves the surface super slick, and looks amazing.

IMO, I did not notice anything different using Z-6 between coats of Zaino. I think it`s over kill, and I just use Z-6 as a pure QD, and after car washes. Save the product.
Converted over to ONR & now Lowes grout sponge. Protected by 3M clear bra, and one layer of Zaino is all you need!

I never got the hype behind using Z6 between Zaino layers either.
