    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone could share the differences between opti-seal and poli-seal?

    Thanks!

    From their website:

Optimum Opti-Seal is a true paint sealant with no cleaning properties. It seals and protects paint under a crystal clear barrier of cross-linked polymers. Dirt, moisture, oil, and UV radiation are all sealed out of the paint to maintain optimum gloss. It is a spray sealant that provides the durability of traditional sealants in minutes.

Optimum Poli-SealTM is the most remarkable, all-in-one product ever produced! This zero dusting, buttery-smooth formula is the ultimate, one-step product. It creates gloss and long term protection that is second to none. Optimum Poli-SealTM contains micro abrasives that eliminate (not hide) minor surface imperfections. It provides swirl mark removal, the final polish and a durable wax/sealant…all in one step! Poli-SealTM creates a perfect shine on all types of paint, fiberglass, gel coat and smooth molded plastic.

Yest that is correct. Poliseal has small correction abilities and leaves behind a light level of protection where as OptiSeal is pure protection.

Poli-seal was very disappointing to me as an AIO.

Maybe the opti-seal would do much better in the sealant line .

I must admit I absolutely love your car. I`ve always been a domestic guy (Mustang to be exact) but the G35 and 350z have grown on me a lot. I have to go back to the mid 90`s to the Supra to find a foreign car I liked as much.

I like poli-seal a lot. I like how easy it is to work with, but I tend to go with Meg`s D151 in cases with lots of gloss or semi-gloss trim as D151 tends to actually BEAUTIFY the trim, where as poli-seal tends to whiten it like traditional waxes can.

Both have their place in my lineup...

That`s an odd experience as I have never had PS whiten up trim

I have used PS on trim to give it spruce it up and can`t ever remember it staining trim.....this though may also depend on the type of trim it`s being used on. I have used it on harder rubber trim or plastics with no issues so far.

Maybe Got Leather will chime in here; he buys Poli-Seal by the gallon and uses it on almost every detail. Sometimes he will top it with Opti-Seal.

Well that is good to know. I haven`t even tried it on any other trim after that run-in. It was on a 2000 Carrera, specifically on the rubber around the windshield that I noticed it first. It seems rubber may be the x-factor...
