I have been using AquaWax but am always wanting to try new products. How would you say it compares to Optimum Car Wax and Surf City Garage Speed Demon?

    I am curious about:

    1) Longevity of true protection

    2) Looks and feel (slickness, shine, etc).

I also have never tried FK1 425 or Surf City Hot Rod. I realize they don`t offer the protection that the spray waxes do, but am wondering if the spray waxes look comprable to the FK1 425 and Hot Rod (which I hear look incredible and are very slick).

    thanks

Having used AW and OCW, i would say AW wins hands down. I like optimum products but AW in my go to product between.

The new OCW will be out in the next week or so (they`ve been waiting on new labels) and IMO, it is definitely better than AW; slicker, more durable and looks better.

I`ve not tried OCW, but like SD and AW. SD gives the just `nuba washed look and AW gives more of a sealant look

AW and OCW are an apples to apples product comparison of sorts (Sealant vs Nuba - both spray).. and IMO AW wins.

AW and SC SDemon is not an accurate product comparison.. AW is a spray sealant SC SD is a QD with hopped up on nuba..warm glow.. SC SD Detailer is a GREAT product if you are not needing bulk rates - free shipping does help out a lot..

Gawd I hope so Scott! I dont really see what the big deal is about AW anyway?!? And why does everyone think AW is a sealant? The label says one thing but the DG folks say another. It has Nuba content folks......Just like OCW does...

The SC Speed Demon is among one of the best QD`s I have ever used.

And SC Hot Rod is a very "warm" looking, as well as slick QD/Spray detailer/Spray Wax.

    OCW > AW

OCW is more durable and has a far better look IME.

At $35 gallon, OCW is simply outstanding.

I don`t either. Looks good but didn`t blow me away like I was expecting it too after reading about it here. Seems more like an amped up QD like Z8 is.

I think OCW was not anything special at all and offer next to no durability, and the look was ok .I`m waiting on the new version.

Does anyone know how long does AW last? How often are you using it?
