Just curious what has caught your fancy for the upcoming detailing season...

I`m thinking about maybe adding a new rotary or PC plus some microfiber.

I`m also curious as to what new sealants and carnaubas might be introduced. May pick up some P21S pure carnauba.

What are you thinking about buying?

I pretty much took advantage of all the winter sales and stocked up with a BUNCH of supplies.

Some products I don`t have yet, but do plan on buying and trying is the Werkstatt line up, and Opti-Seal. I have a silver car, and these products look great on silver from the pictures that I`ve seen. Can`t wait to try.

Good timing for this Q, I *just* ordered an ETG: Coating Thickness Gages

Might get some wool pads and I could even look into the Mirka wetsanding system...depends what that ETG has to say about the vehicle in question.

I just ordered ONR and some PakShak mf`s (1 16x27 WW for drying the car, and 2 16x16 window-cleaning WW mf`s).

I also plan on picking up a wet/dry vac in May or June (looking at the Ridgid pro-pack, model WD4550). Also debating getting some new 6.5" CCS finishing pads for my PC...I originally bought the defective CMA ones (the ones with the layer of blue foam between the actual pad and the backing), where the velcro backing peels off after washing them once or twice. (Yeah, they said they`d replace them, but I see no point in replacing a defective product with the same defective product...if I do that, I`ll be in the same position again after a few more details.)

Well, honestly, I plan on picking up a lot of things in June or so (a few new Eurow sheepskin mitts, better wax/sealant to replace my Mother`s SynWax, maybe some Danase Wet Glaze, etc...); I graduate in May, so hopefully by June I`ll have a nice job...maybe even a new car, which will just add fuel to the fire when it comes to spending a lot on detailing supplies. :nervous2:

I have plenty of LSP`s accessories, supplies, etc... to last a lifetime. But I want to get my polishing abilities to be even better. So I just bought the Flex, some new 6.5 CCS pads of varying cut and the Menzerna ceramiclear polish line up.

I plan on trying these out in the Spring. I would like to jump in the rotary realm with the Metabo. From what I`ve read, it looks excellent. I`d also like to try some of the Ultrafina SE as a final polish.

But most of money has sunk into my financial black hole of a wris````ch collection. I can`t stop buying them or restoring my vintage ones! Currently I have 9 vintage WW2 watches with my watchmaker (which I bought NOS military bands for too). The bill for that restoration project alone could finance a few Flexs and Metabos!

ONR!! Especially when it`s hot as hell!
Converted over to ONR & now Lowes grout sponge. Protected by 3M clear bra, and one layer of Zaino is all you need!

I`m going to break down and try Poli-Seal this spring... I get a lot of people who just want a 1-step and I`ve heard a lot of great things for this application. So far I`ve used PwC, PRIME, and HT-69 so I`ll see how the OPS compares.

Plan to get? Probably none, as I`m strapped for cash and I need to use up my current stash of products.

Products that I want? A Flex would be awesome, and I`ve been wanting to try Black Wow for awhile.

In fact, if Autogeek is reading this, they should consider carrying Black Wow. It would save me money on shipping by having to buy it somewhere else or driving to Placentia to buy from Richard!

Even if you do a final wipe and buff on WOW it still streaks some after a rain.
