Hey guys, I`ve been using Folex in conjunction with the PC (white) carpet attachment, but I`m getting the feeling that it just doesn`t do the trick as an overall shampoo. Will a strong dilution of Megs APC do the trick?

i use megs APC+ cut 6:1 for carpets and floormats...make quick work of almost all stains..heavier doses (not concentrations) for the more soiled spots...folex is great for seats and small spots, but no way would I use it for the entire car

Yup, Megs APC 10:1 for general cleaning of upholstery and carpets and bump to 6:1 for carpets that are soiled.

Also, Rug Renew is a good economical carpet/upholstery cleaner.

I`ve very really liked using APC on carpets for anything other than pre-soaking and very light cleaning. A shampoo will lift the dirt where a APC won`t (generally). Plus, they(APC) tend to harden and/or brown up unlike shampoo that doesn`t.

Then what do you recommend David?

If you`re into trying new things, try Auto Magic`s E-Z Clean shampoo. I think I pay $12 per gallon and is very concentrated. Smells very nice too.

Here`s where I found it by Googling:

E-Z Clean-HD, used with a porter cable carpet brush, will yield good results then?

I always used a cyclo, but I`m sure a PC is fine. It also makes for a great neutral PH car wash soap too.
