sorry for the newb question but i was wondering if this can be used diluted on paint such as the front bumper to help remove the love bugs. Basically is it safe for the paint and if so at what dilution?

    Thanks

It would be ok mixed on a 10/1 with water....for the bugs that you guys get I would use a bug and tar remover

Have a look at bug squash by Poorboys world, you can mix that 4/1 with water....if you are OK with the APC, then its also a good way to do....just make sure that you put back on some wax after

Ahh the lovebugs, they arent easy pests to get use to that`s for sure. So far ime medium grade clay work well, Surf City Garage raod trip grime destroyer helps prior to clay to remove a large majority of them, but these bugs are the most dificult to remove I have encountered.

I use it at 1:1, which is probably far too strong, but it doesn`t damage paint or trim in my limited experience.

The lovebugs are pretty bad here in Florida right now also. I was told by two people that they wipe right off if you spray the front end with Pam. Anybody tried it?

You can use bug squash by Poorboys world and some elbow grease or use clay bar or some tarminator. I hate love bugs!

I use purple power, its great stuff. I use it 8:1 on the body if I have run out of citrus degreaser (4:1) at that time and don`t feel like mixing a new batch.

2:1 is very popular around here. I have been using it at 2:1 for years with no issues whatsoever. Be sure to rinse and flush well though.

HEY folks. Purple power is the perfect kitchen degreaser. Simply blows the typical gang of cleaners outta the water. Just sayin`.

PP is fine on paint, if used judiciously. If you mix it too strong or let it sit too long, I`ve seen it streak paint before, but nothing that a paint cleaner wouldn`t remove. Keep it to 2:1 or higher dilution, and do not let it dry on the paint under any circumstances.

+1 on the diluted purple power on paint it works great for tar bugs etc. A couple time i have had to use it full strength with no ill effects! Its cheap, effective and reduces the amount of products you need to carry.

Sorry for the rant i just get excited when a product works well and costs pennies per use
