I have lots of scratches (nothing major) on my wood grain trim....I am wondering if the PlastX will thin the clear too much to a point where it becomes dangerous. I am sure the clear over it is maybe 10 microns thick (or less), so there is not much room for play.

I think ScratchX works better on wood trim than PlastX and have never had issues with it damaging the surface in any way. I like to follow that with some Quick Interior Detailer for a little protection.
