Just tried the marine version of DG FC&S 921 (521) and its incredible. Super slick, shine and cleans easily without marring. Looks even better the day after.

In addition, I was curious about the dust-repellent qualities mentioned. Our office is next to a furniture manufacturer and dust is a constant nuisance. Must say after applying the 521, hardly any dust has stuck. Amazing.

One question; read that some mix a 70/30 of FC&S and AW. My only concern is some also say applying too much AW can mute paint--especially metallic silver flakes I have. Any ideas/thoughts on this?

Anyway, 521 IMHO is a must have for QD and even cleaning light brake dust off wheels.

I just got off the phone with DG a few minutes ago..I had to order and also talked to Jerry...We talked on the Marine products for car use...lol...again...I asked more questions....the Marine line as I was told is a amped up auto line....the Marine detailer has little more cleaners and a protective feature....

the 501 polish is the STRONGEST cleaner polish they have..but also very durable..as much a 105 he said..but the added feature was it has something in it to resist salt also..said it will work great on cars....safe on all paint.....it looks very good on paint by the way..and very slick..Jerry said its slick to avoid scum lines from forming....

so the Marine products are just beefed up versions of the auto counter parts as I was told....

All the products are UV fortified...I have used the 501...521....the Marine protectant and the Marine wash so far....and all have worked great....

Any question call them..they love to Talk...lol....

Sounds like a GREAT product for areas that get hit with snow = salted roads!!!

Confused. Is 521 the marine version of the detail spray or of Aquawax?

    It`s neither, not a spray. It is like 101 or 105 actually...a polish/sealant.

Tiger Mike, let`s check again. Looks to me like 501 is the marine version of 105, and 521 is the marine equivalent of a detail spray. The 521 is called, "Marine/RV Detail Spray." But the prior poster states that it is "more durable than AW," which is what caused me confusion. Now I`m even more confused!

521 is the Marine Version of FC&S..just has more additives for Marine use.. cleaners..UV blocker and protection...

According to Jerry today...The Marine line is a tweaked up version of the car lines....

I do not think it will be as durable as AW... AW has no cleaners also....it was said its just a tweaked FC&S as far as a better cleaner...and UV and protection and anti static

You`re right...for some reason I had 501 stuck in my head, which is the sealant/polish. The 521 is a spray....

    Thanks for clarification!

Yeah, eyes, brain, fingers, and back. Lots of room for error.

I can attest to the quality of 521. I recently began using this as my primary QD. One thing I have found on my black car is that it can streak if not rubbed in properly -- seems more finicky than AW. However, I actually prefer the look to AW in the short run. And the feel is super, super slick. An amazing QD product in terms of gloss and shine. Hard to do any better. I also have a mix of this and 1/3 AW for use after weekly washes. Cannot go wrong.
