I`m not 100% sure but I don`t believe it has any waxes in it since, as I understand, it was first developed to be used in the aviation field for use on canopies and lexan, etc. so it seems counterproductive to put a wax in. Or not.
Everett Glass of Clearkote is very tight lipped about Quikshine...I`ve asked what is in it...
All I know is it has been perfectly compatible with every wax and sealant I have tried and leaves a very wet and slick finish.
Scottwax your exactly right.

I have always wondered the same thing. But I never really put much effort into it, seeing how it`s easily the most versatile QD I have ever used. I thoroughly enjoy the way it puts a nice layer of protection on the glass. After a few applications I really see a very nice beading pattern. And seeing how my girlfriend just got a Scion TC, it comes in handy on the all glass roof...
Im going to go out on a limb, and take a educated (if thats possible from me) and say a water based silicone. Which is certainly ok.

Not sure but I can say its my favorite QD next to Z6.
