What can you put over a glaze as an LSP as I hear that sealants wont bond to glazes, am I stuck with just a wax?

Never used glazes before and I am getting some of that product X super glaze to toy with.

I`m not a huge glaze user, but the few times that I have used it....I`ve topped it with Carnauba.

I think you might be suprised on how well most sealants and waxes will bond to glazes. Give the LSP enough time to cure.

If you find out about the glaze you`ll know whether it can be topped with a sealant or not. Sealants are usually acrylic polymers and the glaze is made out of acrylics the sealant will bond. If not, it`s generally a bunch of oils and/or fillers that you can only wax over.

As said above, Danase Wet Glaze and CG EZ Creme Glazed are my favs and you can top either with a sealant or wax. However, I have found the sealants that I have used to decrease in durability as compared to an AIO under them.

I would recc. one of the above glazes with FK1 1000P.

danase wet glaze + FK 1000P x 2 looks absolutely amazing. But some would say it is too reflective and lacks depth. I like that look on my black car though this season...

as for a oily/filler glaze, I`d say use IW 845 and like has been said before give it adequate cure time. You will loose durabilty with a waxing over a heavy filler glaze but using something as long lasting as Collinite should fight the problem fairly well. I will let you know how it turns out as I just purchased some of this product X myself- mainly for showing off and not killing myself trying to maintain a black DD. Besides I hate polishing VAG paint and I limit myself to one polishing session a year b/c it takes all day.

Prima makes a glaze that is ment to be covered by a sealant. I use both topped by a nuba and it looks great.

I`ve used Menz FTG. And then to top it; I`ve used M-Seal, nattys blue. Both bond very good. M-Seal beads like NO OTHER. :woot2:
