    Gday Guys,

I have been doing a bit of reading and it has been dicussed on this site and others, that layering a coat of Meg #26 on NXT works well.

I tried it today and was not overwhelmed by the results. The #26 went on well and came off like a dream but I dont feel there is a noticable difference considering the cost and time. However the results after the NXT were brilliant.

I put it on an 07 Impreza in Newport Blue, (a dark mettalic), Its a shame that Subarus have an inherent `peel` to the base coat:hairpull .

Did all the usual for a big detail, clayed, scratch X, #2 polish then the NXT paste and finally the #26 paste. I let the NXT cure for 28hrs before the 26 went on.

Just thaught I`d share my experience.

Unfortunatly living in the top end of OZ I dont have easy access to top of the line products but look forward to trying some I have seen mentioned on this site when I get around to ordering some.

    Cheers

    Tadge

You mentioned the high shine you got with NXT, it that`s what you like stick with the NXT, maybe try applying a second coat of it instead of the #26. I`ve found that the #26 will add some depth to dark colors, but it`s not as shiny/glossy as #26. You hear people talking about the plasticy saran wrap look that NXT (and synthetics in general) can give and #26 will help lessen that look and deepen up the finish. But since it sounds like you like high shine then a carnuba topper may not be right for you.
