This is the QD product from Duragloss.

I have some and used it seemed to not enhance the shine , almost diminished it a little , cleaning ability seem real good. It claims to enhance gloss per the description.

What are other users finding ?

I was told by Jerry @ DG to use AW instead of FC&S , but the FC&S is more of a cleaner/waterless cleaner for road grime , light dust ect....

I have gallons of both and love the colour and scent of FC@S

Don`t know about protective qualities but slickness is real good and I have not noticed any problem with shine diminishing.

Early days though, I only got it a week ago

I use FC&S as a typical QD, for light cleaning.

Is AG Acrylic Glos or something else?

Sure I will. will get back into the lab here at the dream factory and do some testing

We have like twenty MG`s and rovers here that are not polished yet (storing them)

I love 921. It`s been the only QD I`m really impressed with. My car has about 3 layers of FMJ and as many layers of AW. I use 921 after every wash as I have very hard water and always get spots.

If you use 921 straight it isn`t the slickest thing in the world but it doesn`t take away from the AW slickness. That said, it does get shinier and slicker after a few hours. What I do is add about a shot of AW in the 921 and it seems to be a great combo, you get the best of both. I still use plain old AW every 2-4 weeks though w/ washing the car every 3 days or so.

Well I was mucking around in my temporary laboratory last night (we`re still setting up) and decided to modify my Showcar suds protective shampoo and conditioner.

Before I mixed it all together, I decided to find out if any quick detail sprays and aquawax like products could be added to a shampoo and if it would kill the sudsing/lather factor as does happen when you add any paint sealant, cleaner wax (AIO etc) product

Well it turns out that aquawax, FC&S, Prima Slick and Einszett lackfinish raindance QD whether diluted or pure, actually boost the lather and suds and tinted the wash solution to the colour of the car wash

My first mix was 50ml driven to perfection protective wash and FC&S

Driven wash looks brown in the bottle but turns pinkish red when poured out and those two together made a lovely red fanta mixture.

So I thought hmm, lets mix up 700ml of car wash.

Well the results are suds that not only are volcanic like in the bucket but are like putting too much bubble bath in a bathtub. they defy gravity and cling for dear life and don`t quit. even when you take all the water out, there are still thick groups of sud blobs stuck to the sides of the bucket and when using (tested on my hilux), the solution really is incredibly lubricating, glides along the surface and enhances sheeting a little. very free rinsing

I have no idea if adding the QD`s and aquawax is providing any protection or not (most likely not due to the water drowning them) but they sure are boosting the lathering.

A better wash and wash experience with more sudsing, lubrication, protection and to promote water repellency. A shampoo, conditioner, protectant booster, slickness enhancer and drying aid in one. Something that anyone with a nice car can use to boost the protection, add more gloss, keep the paint slick for longer and cut down on wash marring without stripping any protectants.

Too many shampoo`s take the slickness away and dry out soft exterior trim moldings.

OK I just added 80ml 921 and 35ml AW and it looked exactly the same as FK 1 425

Performed very well. Cleaned the glass and made it really slick. Protection I don`t know but should work.

FC&S does seem slicker than most QD`s. I`ll see how your few hours later theory goes Mr Veedub.

Combining those two shall be interesting

marine cleaner (521) has more cleaning abilities and some uv protection. i like it better than the 921 and buy it by the gallon. what`s also worked is adding an ounce of aw into the 521 to enhance the gloss but doesn`t diminish the cleaning qualities.

as a fervent qd`er 521/aw is my favorite right now...
