For tree sap mist I just use my normal car shampoo, for big gobs of sap I use Stoner`s Tarminator and a bug/tar sponge
I`m outside Raleigh, NC and the oak trees along my driveway have been spitting out an awful mist of sap lately. I`ve never notice this much before. After about 2 hours under one of my trees and the entire top of my car is speckled in a fine mist of sap. Its too much for a detail spray to deal with so I`ve been washing the car more than usual.
If you can get Ardex`s sap remover, it works very well.
Only thing funnier than the number three poster is number five.
what`s so funny about it? Works like a champ. Don`t laugh until you`ve tried it.

RainX contains isopropyl alcohol which works great for removing some types of tree sap.Originally Posted by LangMan37

"Stoners Tarminator" recently took off a fairly big baked-on blob of clear sap. Spray wipe, another spray wipe, gone.
Here`s one I haven`t tried but was posted as a sap remover on another forum: 7-UP.
Denatured alcohol works great, I use it on paint and fabric convertible tops.

methyl hydrate. of course it`s an alcohol, so that`s why it works
It also has protective/beading properties too, should be wax our car with it?Originally Posted by pogo123
