Got that nasty moldy smell in my AC/Heater already (cars only a hand full of months old). Anyways, does this stuff work? If so, any tips for application?

I never used that product before, but if it`s not the filter, I used Lysol/air effect method. Spray Lysol on where outside air comes from to a/c system (between hood and front windshield) to kill bacteria and germs for 30 seconds, and put another 30 seconds of your favorite air effect product to make it smell nice. (I usually use febreze air, spring scent)

    clean air, nice smell

It does work...Leave the car running with the AC on recirc for a good 20 minutes. Then another 20 min after the fogger has finished. The smell is strong at first, then it fades....Pretty good product.

If it`s only a few months old, why not take it back to the stealership?

You can also check out this link...They have a few foggers, that are very inexpensive. I have used the first one before and it worked quite well on a customers car.

I use a bactericide with a enzyme additive I get at work...I believe it is made by Ball..I got a nozzle with the pipe extension off a can of WD-40 and hooked to the can of bactericide...I spray in all the vents...then I put the air on with fan..I go out and spray into the air intake on the cowl for a few secs...This works great..i bet you could do the same with Lysol Disinfectant..the stuff I use has a real pleasant smell ..like citrus.......I do not think my truck has a cabin filter as I asked the Ford parts and said non listed...

I had that problem before. I used the lysol method as well a putting a couple of boxes of refrigerator baking soda in the car. Did the trick in a couple days

To eliminate this problem in the future, I think it`s a good idea to turn the A/C off and let the system fan out regular vented air for a minute or so to get the A/C out of the system.
