I`m going to detail a friends M Coupe next weekend and it`s a single stage (I think) red. For his hand detailing I "prescribed" Color-x and then Mothers Top Coat, it looks pretty good...

But for show purposes I was going to...

Polish with Op and a rotary

    finish with Color-x

    Then lay down some FMJ

I was looking to Color-x b/c I`m not going to have time (2 details and a suspension install) to fully break down some FPII or other "finishing" polish, and he has it laying around.

    What`d ya`ll think?

Are you set on using the Color-X? If so, it will work fine. FMJ over FPII is an amazing look.

Oh yeah FPII and FMJ is a great combo but in my experience it takes a lot more time to work FPII down, and I don`t really like working with it.

This is a barter type deal and I`m going to spend a lot of time on it.
