LOL, what can I say? There are 556 posts addressing "silver paint and what`s best".

Also, tell people what country you`re located in. Otherwise, the lads are gonna sit here all day long recommending products you can`t even buy. Does that make sense?

You have many UK brothers here. Might want to see what they`ve been up to, how they`ve sourced the various products.

    Cheers!

    HI!!

Personally im a big fan of paintwork cleaner, RMG+Wolfgang Paint sealant + then you top with a good wax when the weather improves a bit. Victoria wax seems to be the "in" thing at the moment and or the correct calibre to complement Wolfgang.

Im Uk based, you can get those products from: cleanyourcar.co.uk and motorgeek.co.uk

beefy_hdi- Now that you`ve probably searched and been overwhelmed by all the info...

Note that silver is almost always (my Jag`s lacquer being the exception) just another clearcoat paint, and for the most part clearcoat is clearcoat.

IMO the big trick with silver is seeing all the little imperfections (scratches/"swirls", i.e., "marring") that cause light to refract instead of reflect. Once you see those flaws, polishing them out will make your silver look a lot better.

A simple step in the right direction would be to find something like Meguiar`s #80 or some other mildly abrasive polish.

A perhaps even *simpler* step in the right direction would be to get some AutoGlym Super Resin Polish. Use that and then apply either their Extra Gloss Protection (or whatever they call it these days) or some other wax. The SRP is good stuff and pretty easy to use.
