Their old formula was VERY lumpy and clumpy. I had to send mine back and they sent me a fresh batch of the new polish. Good stuff!

It will have a gold sticker on it saying "New and Improved"

Optimum Polish has been sold out alot of places. Optimum was waiting on a special machine so clumps would be a thing of the past. This is why there was a shortage not that to many knew.

I got some from david on a replacement for my clumpy lumpy stuff. I used it with Seans HTEC/OPT 50/50 and it still worked great. It seems to be a more golden color rather than the white and smells more like the hyper but I didnt see any performance different.

The top will allow for better distribution. Faster cutting action also......Very nice product....And a little creamier, with less separation.

Faster cutting action huh? So David added more abrasives to give it a bit more bite? People must have been asking for more aggressiveness...but I wasn`t aware of it. The OC is what needed more bite - I`d like to see OC a little more between OP and OHP. While I`m at it, I`d like to see Optimum come out with a truely heavy compound (heavier than OHC for sure)...if it can be done while retaining the beatiful "working" properties of the polish line.

And I`ll be glad to see new tops - I was taking tops from old FMJ bottles because the Optimum tops had such small spout holes.

I highly doubt one will need new tops with the new formula as it`s very creamy. It is also slightly more aggressive at start but finishes out just as fine as the old formula.

Same long term use and little to no dusting.
