Can anyone tell me why use one over the other for QD needs? The Last Touch stuff is ~$20/gal and the Final Inspection is ~$25/gal.

SEEMINGLY the same TYPE of product.

I`ve been using a LOT of Final Inspection, but may move to Last Touch and save some $$`s unless I can expect an optical difference.

I pretty much only use #34 to aid in removal of polish residue, cleaning out cracks and crevices, under the hood, around badges, clay lube, cleaning wheels/exhaust tips, etc. It`s an excellent QD, but for the paint, over an LSP, I would stick with Last Touch, personally.

#34 is body shop safe. Besides that, you won`t find much difference.

I still prefer using #34 myself, not that I use either that much anymore.

Everyday use I would go with Final Touch.

I love it as a clay lube. MAinly becuase when I use it after claying a car, it makes the water bead like there is wax on the car. Makes the vehicle a lot easier to dry after claying.

I use Final Inspection 3-4 per day. To me, it`s the best for the money when bought by the gallon. I`m sure 425 is a better overall product....but I need the best bang for the buck. I do this for a living.

So which one is the best to maintain a wax shine? To use after every wash between full waxings.

Personally I think that Last Touch gives a little more gloss, while the #34 gives better cleaning. I use Last Touch as a clay lube, because of its low cost, and it dilutes 1:1. For everything else you would use a QD for, like touch ups after a wash, using it after a wax or sealant that attracts dust (except using it to clean a dusty/driven car, for that purpose I don`t ever use a QD) I use FK425, which to me is much better for those purposes.

How much are you paying for a gallon of #34??? 425 is only $25 with shipping direct from Fk1. IMO its a much better QD then #34.

all this talk of 425 - i cant wait till i get mine from flatstick . . .

i have always wondered about the formulation differences between 34, last touch and regular good old qd . . .

never having used last touch, im wondering if it could really be significanlyt better.

#34 is about $22. I have used #425 and for me it`s not that great. When the car is slightly warm and I use #425, it leaves an oily streak on the panel that only spreads around if I use more of it. I usually have to wash the car to get rid of it, but it does get less noticeable the next day. I`ve used PB`s S&W, Quick Shine, Meg`s FD, Mothers Showtime and some Eagle 1 stuff. Just wanted to try something different.

I`ve got a gallon of Last Touch and a regular spray bottle of Final inspection, and I almost always use the last touch instead. Gives more shine and works better as a clay lube. FI is great, it cleans better, but doesn`t give as much gloss back to the paint.
