I have my new Tacoma for over 5 weeks and whatever the dealer used to shine the tires, it`s still shining like the day I picked it up. I have used Meguiars high gloss endurance tire shine on my other cars and the longest it lasted was 3 weeks

I have never seen one that last anywhere near a month, heck even a week I would be happy

Tropicare non silicone dressing will last a month on tires that don`t have silicone dressing residue-I use it on hard plastic trim instead of tires

Grape Tire dressing from topoftheline.com is the closest product I`ve tried to lasting near that long.

I would think a Silicone based dressing will last longer than a water-based one. I have had good luck with Meg`s High Endurance, but it is very greasy if you don`t use it sparingly.

I wonder how you can go a month without needing a car wash, never mind tire dressing?

I must have OCD since I cant go a week with topping my paint with something.......

Some folks at the MOL claim that Meg`s Endurance tire gel lasts more than a month. I just put some on. I like the look -- we`ll see how long it lasts!

Uuummmm, ask your dealer what they used

I use Megs Insane Tire Shine. Seems to work well and looks great, but people said it`s supposed to go through water/rain/washing etc no prob. We had rain the other week and it came right off??

Go there, ask them what they used, and then tell us!

    You`ve got me curious too.

Gary Coleman, if you`re not able to ask the dealer what they use, tell me the dealer and the city. I`ll phone them and ask.

I`ve also tried Meg`s Endurance tire shine stuff, smells like grape kool-aid! It sure does last a long time, but I`ve always had sling problems with it, and it`s sort of a pain to apply.

    And it attracts dust

Someone here once suggested klasse VLRP on tyres, a month or more with that

    Sadly they changed the formula

I get great results with sonus, WG and four star gels. Multiple coats and do not shampoo tyres when you wash the car.

Durability can depend on tire compound as well. I`ve got softys and had two months longevity
Car care/detailing sadly isn`t high on the agenda for 98% of australians.
