    Hi guys,

So, I`ve been trying to figure out a way to reduce water spotting on my black car after washing and I don`t want to do the $$$ softening thing yet. I like the QEW and Opt No Rinse ideas, but since my car is black I`m thinking of this:

Wash the car normally, 2-bucket method.

For final rinse though, use my HoseCoil Suds Blaster nozzle (the hose nozzle with the soap dispenser thingy) but fill in a couple ounces of QEW or Optimum No Rinse and rinse the entire car, then dry with MF waffles.

I`m thinking that may be a good way to reduce watter spotting.....but questions:

Any risk of streaking or weirdness if it sits too long on the car and air dries before I get to it with my towel?

Ya think it`ll help my spotting problem?

    What else would you recommend?

    Thanks guys.

Hmmmm... that sounds like a good idea. I wonder if anyone has tried that yet. When is winter going to end so I can wash my cars outside again?!

I think you`d be the first to do this. My understanding is adding ONR to convential car wash products reduces spotting but I haven`t tried it out to see.

I use the No Rinse in my wash and it seems to add slickness and ease of drying, especially if one is using a leafblower to dry.

ensure your nozzle and dispenser has no residual soap whatsover and you`ll be fine
