    Seems like there`s a bill in Congress so auto makers have to disclose what the ECU codes mean on newer cars. Whoopie...giveing one back to the stealership

    Yeah, but I bet the next step is the manufacturers voiding your warranty if you don`t have your car repaired at an "authorized" location.

    There is some current legislation that has been introduced that will allow people to maintain their warranty and get their car fixed by independent mechanics, not just at the dealership.
