I got my `new` license plates!

I now have new (39 year old) official state licence plates for my 2002tii. I searched for the plates a long time. And after a bit of red tape, got them approved for use on my car. January 1973 was the actual date when the BMW was first registered. Since the car is considered `historic` in Missouri, I never have to renew them. I like the look. Kinda cool, IMO.

Nice! Are you allowed to have them refinished so they are as perfect as the rest of the car?

I don`t think there is any restriction on that. But they look fairly good as is. I do wonder, though, what kind of paint they use. Some sort of reflective metallic.

You know, I was worried about that! When I was researching plates I found that years around `73 were yellow, blue and green and I was thinking that would be soooooo yuck! LOL! Funny what priorities are.
