has anyone used them and did they help?

I have a `97 BMW that sat for a few months (3 or so) while insurance fought me for repairs, in the end they did the repairs at full cost (not a penny from me) but now I"m having issues with my battery. it was nearly dry inside, 4 of the 6 holes needed water, and about a quart was used (maybe less). the voltage is showing up at 12.4-12.5 but my cold cranking amps are only 175 out of normal 850.

I was suggested to use a desulphator to try to rejuvenate the battery, but I want to know if anyone has successfully used one to do so. btw, desulphator (conditioner)/charger [BatteryMINDer] is $50-100 depending on which model while a new battery is $135 (cheapest I`ve found).

I have a battery minder, and it has brought back a few batteries that my other two chargers could not, however others, especially the small gel-cells it does not help whatsoever.

I vote for the battery. Its 5 MORE years then what you would currently have.
